Now let’s address another issue, and that’s the misuse
Of N-I-G-G-E-R
We claim that this word has come so far
From being used to leave emotional scars…, and we’re proud of that
This generation is proud of that, man what’s goin on?
Forget about whether it’s right or wrong
The fact is this word still leaves us torn
We say to us it doesn’t matter it’s just a word
But to our elders it hurts, everytime it’s heard
So if it’s just a word to you man stop using it
And find another six letters to be cool with
Have you no respect for what your people went through?
The freedom, that their hard work has sent you?

Now I’m not saying everybody should be revolutionary, but
There should be some sense of evolutionary
Steps, being taken as far as progress but
Looking at us now you’d feel so hopeless
The consensus in every city, is Black people are
Best known for criminal activity
Man I’m sick of being seen like that, you could say it’s not true
But your actions keep feeding that
In war, thay use divide and conquer
Apply it to yourself and it could only make you stronger
You selling drugs to your people, you gotta review that
You feeling good doing evil, you gotta review that
You putting money over life, you gotta review that
You caught up in the hype, you gotta review that
